Dennis James started his professional career as a CPA with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company (now KPMG) in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. James is a partner with Morgan, Minnock, Rice, & James. He earned his MBA from Utah State University in 1975 and his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University College of Law in 1979. His corporate experience includes formation, documentation and compliance management of limited liability companies, corporations, partnerships and joint ventures; contracts; leases; mergers, acquisitions and sales, stock and asset; governmental approvals and compliance; employee complaints and litigation. In private practice he has extensive experience in litigation (insurance defense, contract claims, personal injury, negligence, duty of loyalty, other tort claims, securities fraud, officer/director liability, other commercial claims, real property claims involving buyers, sellers, contractors and developers); dispute resolution (negotiation, mediation, arbitration); real estate (acquisition, sale, management, and foreclosures); estate planning and probate; and business entity representation, including buy/sell agreements and business planning. Mr. James is married with 7 children, and loves to cycle, play tennis, and run marathons.
